A comedy wine tasting experience

Comedians Sweeney Preston and Ethan Cavanagh will be joined by an illustrious wine expert to guide you through tasting five wines and at least five jokes.

Everyone from savvy sauvignon swiggers to clueless chardonnay chuggers will find something to make their glass half-full, as the wine industry's hardest-hitting questions are answered… How far should I extend my pinky when sipping? What the heck is a tannin? And who’s parked in the loading bay -  you’re about to be towed?

Ticket includes five tastings, with an alcohol-free option available if requested via venue in advance.

Ethan Cavanagh & Sweeney Preston

As seen performing at Australia’s premiere wine & comedy festival Comedy in the Vines and on Wine For The People’s Comedians In Bars Getting Blind, Sweeney Preston & Ethan Cavanagh are two of Melbourne’s fastest-rising and extravagantly overdressed comedians.

After taking home the Best in Category Eat & Drink Award at the 2024 Adelaide Fringe - the world’s second-largest arts festival, and a Weekly Best Comedy Award at the Perth Fringe, the pair were invited to bring their comedy wine tasting antics abroad to England’s iconic Latitude Festival as well as the Edinburgh Fringe Festival. 

Between them, they have performed internationally in Germany, the UK, Ireland, Japan, Indonesia, South Africa & New Zealand and all corners of Australia, including shows at 6 consecutive Melbourne International Comedy Festivals.
